The Fleet Guide: Every Vehicle Size, Explained
From 14-passenger Sprinter vans to 50-passenger coaches, here’s what each vehicle in our Los Angeles party bus fleet actually holds, what’s on board, and how to choose the right size for your group and your route.
Vehicle sizes and seated capacity
| Vehicle | Passengers | Best for | On board | Know before you book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sprinter van | 10–14 | Smaller groups, tighter streets, canyon routes and hillside pickups | Leather lounge seating, sound system, lighting, coolers and ice | No restroom; a lounge rather than a dance floor |
| Standard party bus | 20–25 | Birthdays, bachelorettes and nights out across the city | Perimeter seating, sound system, lighting, bar counter, coolers and ice | Restrooms are not standard at this size |
| Mid-size party bus | 26–34 | Weddings, larger celebrations and corporate nights | More standing and dance room, TVs on select vehicles | Check access at every stop; some structures and hillside streets are too tight |
| Large party bus | 35–50 | The biggest groups, Vegas runs, concerts and game days | Dance floor space, TVs, and restrooms on select coaches | Needs room to stage and turn; confirm every address in advance |
Every vehicle is BYOB for guests 21 and older, with coolers, ice and cup holders. Current hourly rates for each size are on the party bus prices page.
How to pick the right vehicle
- Count seats, not standing room. Passenger capacity assumes everyone seated. If your group plans to dance the whole night, size up a tier.
- Book for confirmed guests. Final headcounts usually come in lower than the RSVP list.
- Check the crossover. Around 15 people, a full-size bus tends to cost about the same per person as a Sprinter, with far more room.
- Let the route decide too. Canyon roads, hillside streets and low parking structures can rule out a large bus even when the headcount fits.
- Count gowns at formal events. A full ballgown can take more than one seat.
Ask for a photo of the exact vehicle
Party bus listings are full of stock photos. Before you book anyone, including us, ask for a current daylight photo of the exact vehicle you’re booking. It’s the quickest way to tell an operator from a listing. Read more in licensing and insurance and driver and vehicle safety standards, or see the Sprinter van rental page.
Frequently asked questions
How many people fit on a party bus?
Our vehicles range from Sprinter vans for 10 to 14 passengers up to large party buses for 35 to 50. Capacity assumes everyone seated.
Do party buses have restrooms?
Restrooms are available on select large coaches. Sprinter vans and standard party buses do not have them, so plan stops into longer trips.
Is a Sprinter or a party bus better for my group?
For roughly 14 people or fewer, a Sprinter usually costs less and reaches more places. Around 15 and up, a full-size bus tends to cost about the same per person with much more room.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. Every vehicle is BYOB for guests 21 and older, with coolers, ice and cup holders.
